With a little hope, with a little faith:

The day you captured my heart
A small quick gaze changed my life
lost, afraid that moment wouldn’t come.
Bedtime would come, keeping me
moving from side to side.
I shut my eyes to feel you near.

My heart throbs like a hammer
until your picture fades away.
Only pain remains with me,
tearing me to jagged pieces,
Can't move, can't breathe,
sinking into a black painful world.

With a little hope, with a little faith
I wake up thinking ahead.
What shall I put on?
What shall I say?
Deep inside I know I'll see you.

Looking at the same eyes,
hearing the same sweet voice,
somehow I become refreshed.
Like a dry, weak plant
waiting for you; drink me with
your words, your love
till again I become alive.

Still loneliness surrounds me,
refusing to release me.
With a little hope,
with a little faith,
I wait for the next day.
Spreading red roses on my life.
