Being alone here on this bench

You were my shelter, you were my soul
Seems like without you I have no self control

I just don't understand how our love was lost

The soundless rain suddenly stops falling
And just then I could have sworn I heard you calling
But I'm just dreaming, because you are no where to be seen
Now my sanity I'll have to redeem

Must our love be lost forever?

An wonderful write, it really captures the feelings of abandonment, loss and confusion after losing someone central to your life.

The only thing I'd say is maybe cut the 'from here' from the last line, it seems to flow better without it.
