Perhaps Guy Fawkes was the first incarnation of the P.I.R.A.

It's just a good excuse to huddle in the cold and watch someone let off some fireworks

I love to experience life in all its agonising glory.

It never occurred to me that burning and effigy was a bad thing. No wonder we didnt make one of the queen and burn that on her jubilee.

I guess if you think about it, it really is like setting your money on fire. Bit of a waste really, though it is pretty.

I always watch the fireworks from my bedroom window, you can see right into the city centre where they have a huge display at the harbourside.

I find fireworks a bit boring to be honest. Once you see one display you've seen them all imo. I remember last year almost all my friends went down to the Bonfire, spent a fiver each to get in, pissing down with rain, freezing cold and all that.

Me and one other mate we're like 'Nah, we're off down the pub to watch the football'. Got to the pub and had a clear view of all the fireworks anyway!

It's not the only strange day british people celebrate, I've seen sectarian bigot bands march through catholic areas in northern ireland with rangers jersey's and union jacks, Loyalists are the dirtiest low-lifes i have ever known, They should be all gassed.

Most British people don't, only a minority of Bigots from certain area's of the country. Those area's tend to also have higher amounts of people who support a certain terrorist organisation too.

Yeah they support the loyalist terrorists! The ira are finished with there campaign, I've yet to see evidence of loyalists putting there guns away. Anyways this bulls*** would never have happened only winston churchill f***ed up by keeping 6 counties to be part of a fading empire which eventually collapsed after germany showed britain up in world war II.
