A girlfirend of mine got a tatoo of a heart with her boyfriends name in it when she was 16. At 20 she wants it removed but they told her to do it would cost several treatments and several thousands. Is that the standard rate for tatoo removal.

i'm not sure specifically, but i have heard that it's crazy expensive and crazy painful... which is why you do not tatoo a boyfriends name on yourself, especially at 16...

It depends how big it is, the tattoo removal clinic you go to, location of the tattoo and a few other factors. The cost can range from around $300 to around $1000 per session. In order to get good results she might have to go back for as many as 15 sessions.

$1000 x 15=

This is a big risk with tattoos with names on, because, stating the bleeding obvious, you might not want it in future

Sometimes people just creatively modify the tattoo with more tattooing to disguise what it looked like originally. Much cheaper.
