Naw, that's cool. I'm actually American and ran away to NZ to escape the American women. I'm engaged to a kiwi chic who has also noted that the only men in NZ are either 60 or 16.

In America all of us guys used to joke and say that all the chics were on the other side of the world. If only they knew. Lol.

What made you escape the States??and I'll bet you find NZ a different way of life.

The only way I can explain NZ is that it's Diet America with a confusing road system. LOL.

But I'm highly appreciative of the health system over here and the fact that the weather never goes to either extremes where I have to go and prepare myself for it.

My girl is what brought me here. We had a long distance relationship after meeting in a forum like this one. After a year of knowing each other over the net she took a big risk by coming to live with me in the states for a few months.

Probably one of the most down to earth people that I've ever met and considering the scary ride she took and the chance that I might not have even been waiting for her at the aiport I figured she was just as eager for a companion in her life as I was.

So it was about two years after she went back home and we stayed in touch every day that I sold it all and gave it all up to afford to come over here and start a life with her.

For you I can understand why you say it's scarey road system ,My wife and I hired a Corvette in Hawaii,for some reason we seem to forget,the driver HAS to in the middle of the road .

I haven't been to NZ,but maybe one day I'd love to see quite a few things there,but mainly Burt Munro's Indian scout.

I heard of a lot of people meeting through the net,and can only agree about being Scarey at first,so I wish you both well.

Just be wary if you do then,many an American Tourist has been sold the Harbour Bridge or the Sydney Opera House We Aussies just love to pull some tourist leg and have a lend of them,it's not until you hear it go Twang that you realize what's happened But..........To late

If my partner wanted to go back there and we could find a comfortable state to settle in maybe. But I think things are cheaper and more practical over here. Back in America it felt like Uncle Sam was in wallet every day.

Meeting through the net is the best and most dangerous way to meet people so folks looking really need to keep themselves keen.

I think what's awesome is that for alot of people whom don't use photographs of themselves, the people they draw in are more genuinely attracted because they're getting to know the individuals for thier hearts and personalities.

I've actually been endeared to quite a few people whom I've never actually seen.

As for 'straight up front' there's never been a time over the six years that I've been with her that she hasn't been by my side in time of need unless she was MIA because of something important.

The only way I can describe her is that she's simpley just 'real.'

That would be a difficult move all round I think,your family is already over there and her's would be back in NZ,it's not like you jump in the Car and drive down the road to visit And after a while I suppose you'll see NZ as the same?
Here we start to wonder what hare brained idea they'll come up next to bleed us .
The one they've been on now for years is Tolls to use roads,we pay all manner of Taxes for the pleasure of driving a car,they in turn build new roads,WITH our Money then charge us to use them??Something wrong there .

Very dangerous I'd say especially when all both of you acn't see who your talking to,and only got the others word of what they like and don't like.I'll be honest and say,it's not a game I'd play, and really don't want anybody getting close to me,so being that friendly is not on with me.
Mind you though,if I had the Money to afford the trip,I'd fly to LA,but a cheap car and travel around America,and visit my friends I have here,finish up in New York and walk away from the car.
