It's a general question about how it works, really. I badly need to work from home and I'm exploring a few options.

Ok.
This is how it works. There are companies, as well as individuals, who understand that the more exposure that their business gets, the more money they will make. Let's say that I have a product selling for $500. I will allow you to advertise my product on your site (if you have one) and if it sells, I pay you a commission, usually 40-75% This is what is called affiliate marketing...I can explain further in an email if you want
