Jobs and in particular unemployment rates are considered a trailing indicator of the economy. If you follow the health of the market, you can be fairly certain that the jobless rate will follow it up or down.

I don't quite get it because they say the economy is picking up but thet unemployment here will continue to rise until 2011? I don't understand how it is all worked out???
