If I were a woman, and was addressed like that, I think I'd say... "Yes, there is something that I want you to be,.....gone!"

Response: "Be somewhere else!"

I think I'd roll my eyes and walk away if someone said that to me

That's definitely something I would say!

No encouragement was given and I wasn't the slight bit interested. I've been married since the beginning of time, the man was repeatedly told to back off. He lost my respect when he said, "I'll be anybody you want me to be, I'll do anything you want, just tell me what to be and I'll be that."
I don't know about anybody else, but I want someone who is true to themselves, genuine. I don't want a pushover. Am I wrong to feel that way? If I were to ever get involved again.
I'd want a man's man.

A proper response could be, "I would like you to just be yourself and let's see where that goes." Pay close attention to what his response is.

The fact that he's offering to mold himself to your wants and desires raises a red flag that he just may have a hidden agenda. Be very wary.

I feel the same way. I like to know the real person and who they are. Not a fake ideal.

A real man will sacrifice his desires to please you. A man's woman should be his focus as it relates to pleasure(making sure she's pleased). However, I real man will be exactly that.....a man. This person that you're describing sounds like a feminized male. Real men will not abandon their masculinity in order to win a woman's approval. Be carefull dealing with these type of men. Sometimes these kind of men will say all of that stuff in the beginning because they think you want to hear that-but later on in the relationship they become possessive and abusive. You have to think about what he meant when he said that he would be whatever you wanted him to be. Do you think that he wouldn't want something in return? ofcourse he would. His desire is to have you, totally, to himself-and if you don't give him that, he will become something that is straight out of a horror book. Hope this helped.

From where I'm sitting, this approach smacks of a man who is a manipulator. Right from the very off his intention is to draw you into whatever fantasy world his mind occupies. He may be saying he wants you to decide what he wants to be, but that doesn't mean you would be in control. Not a chance. he would be controlling every move, all along the way.

As Male Attraction says above, if any woman was sucked in by this approach, it wouldn't be long before the real character emerged and then the woman would find herself in a world of trouble.

You did the right thing to walk away from that one, Reads. It's just disturbing to think that he may have moved onto some other poor woman who might not be so astute and is now his victim. That is just such an awful thought.

I'd never want a 'I'll mould myself to your whims' type of man.

I like manly men who already know who they are.

That strikes me as very fake, and it sounds like he was trying to get laid.
