Maybe you should open up your own day care center; you'd get to be around kids galore, and will have the pleasure at the same time, of saying goodby at the end of the day.

Or apply for a job at one.

for me to be really (this really isn't the right word) obsessed with wanting to be a mom?

It's no secret that all my life I've wanted to be a mom. I loved playing with baby dolls, I had little cribs and everything.

Now I'm not one of those crazy teens who are out to get pregnant, I don't want to now, but I don't think one day goes by when I don't think about babies or how it'll be when I'm a mom.

I watch mom and baby shows on TV, I read parenting magazines, I read about labor/delivery, I love babysitting, I have a baby name book, I get giddy when I go through the baby aisle in stores, I think of baby names, I think about taking my kids to Webbers Farm and doing all sorts of cute/fun seasonal things with them, I look at/plan baby rooms.
The list goes on.

Is this a bad thing... or is this normal?

**Note: I'm not naive, I know it's not all fun and games in parenthood.

I started doing that since about 15 y.o. Now, Im 24, sadly Ive Miscarried 2 times, but now, Im a Mom of a brand new 6 Week old Baby Girl & let Me tell You, everything that Your talking about, came true. All the overwhelming feelings of wanting wanting wanting, came true, & I just feel so content. Just give it time

What lovely names. I think it's a game we all play at some time or another. Like, Amanda and I haven't seriously sat down and chosen names yet, but yeah, the ideas have drifted through my mind from time to time.

I rather like:

Girl: Sian
Boy: George

We might add our parents names too, so a daughter would be Sian Helen Grace and a boy would be George Kenneth Johnathan. I've got my grandmothers names, so I'm Jennifer Louise Christina.

Did you find some names were popular when you went to school..? I was once in a class with four Emma's. LOL. One of my nieces tells me that there is a class in her school with six Britney's.

.

holly's n molly's are popular

It's not strange at all. A lot of people have a bigger sense of maternal duty than others. I for one don't want kids of my own, but I feel like it's my duty to raise children that weren't fortunate enough to have a home. Adopting is more appropriate for me. But that's me. Other women, and some men, get a thrill out of concieving and raising children. It's a neat thing that you're maternal by nature.
