Anybody on here study sociology? If so, what are your particular interests?

I'm currently doing a PhD, exploring issues of gender embodiment around martial arts practice. Specifically, I'm looking at how portrayals of women fighting in the mass media are interpreted by female martial artists, and how such images communicate messages about femininity and the female body.

Be good to chat with anyone who has similar research going on, or hear about other work that might relate.
