COLLEGES & HIGH SCHOOLS?

Something I could never believe could happen. Colleges are now beginning to add high schools to asssure that students will be qualified to enter their "college". They say "They are frustrated with students who come to college ill-prepared and an applicant pool that lacks the diversity of the nations high schools.---" SAC BEE 071208.
It is obvious that the authorities at the Universities and Colleges are seeking to resolve an obvious problem permeating our public schools system for tooo many years. When they set up their high school systems their problem will not be resolved. The end product will be a student population selected by the universities and colleges to matriculate in their pool.
They are ignoring the obvious source of the public HIGH SCHOOL problem! ---> The power structure controlling school curricum and its intended purpose. They have forgotten to provide the student with the BASICS OF LEARNING. The intent of the politician and educator now is to TEACH all students subjects required for them to enter college. BUT SO MANY ARE NOT READY TO ENTER!!! I WAS'NT. ---> NOT UNTIL MUCH LATER. All others become drop-outs.
