Hey, I'm fifteen years old and I've just started making movies. I'm considering making a film out of Richard Connell's The Most Dangerous Game and I just need a few tips on how to go through with it. Like, should I make it exactly the way it was in the story, or make my own adaptation? Any advice is welcome.

You can't reproduce films that have already been made exactly by the book, you have to appropriate it. There are films now that have been recreated from old films. A respectable artist appropriates. Unless you wanna end up in court, I suggest you come up with your own unique story based on this story.

It's a good story that could easly be adapted to the 21st Century. For example, somebody has their own asteroid out there that they "own"(not that far-fetched really).A spaceship visits the asteroid, and you can take it from there.
