After the Mac World, what do you think about the future of Apple? Come and discuss.

Well, one of my friends got a macbook for christmas, and I was trying it out. .. It's AWESOME! Way better than my crappy Toshiba. And their are loads of advantages to having a Mac, like the lack of viruses that target macs, and, according to another friend of mine, they last longer and behave themselves for longer. . .

So, I think there's a future out there. I hope so, cos I'm buying one the minute I graduate and get a job!

If they can survive the economic downturn and if they improve hardware issues they should be okay (not much of a prediction I know). I love my MBP but am less than satisfied with having to replace the logic board and a fan in a period of 18 months. Not too crazy about the flimsy cases, either but that is part of what makes them unique.
You also have to throw in Steve Jobs' health into the mix.

Hard to say. It's hard time for pc and apple. At least iPhone was a big success.

I think it will continue as it has been for a long time. They'll maintain a small portion of the market simply because there's Mac loyalists who will buy them no matter what. They could do much better though if they didn't charge absurd prices. Especially nowadays that a Mac IS a PC, the only difference is the software. Just yesterday out of curiousity I priced out the components of a $2500 Mac. It's a $1600 PC, and that's at retail prices of all the components so you know it's really even less than that.

Mac hardware was always overpriced but it's even worse now, and more obvious now that its the identical hardware to PC's.
