A few are legitimate. Last year, I sent $7,500 to a guy in in India. About 3 weeks later, $80,000 was deposited into my checking acount. (I only got to keep 1/2 of it, though. He had me wire $40,000 to a bank in Russia).

Whatever you do, be careful. I wired $3,000 to a man in South Africa, and never received anything. I think all of these deals in that country are fake.
