soo every now and then i get this dream , where im being chased/taken hostage in my own home... and everytime i have this dream i eather escape or i kill the person/people who are tryng to capture me. now this dream comes back slightly different every soo often in my life, and i was wondering if anyone els has had somthing similar to this.

this is pretty much how i remember this dream... person/people break into my house - i then lock my self into a room.. soon after i do this i escape threw a window where i run threw my town... after this i return to kill the person/people with eather a knife or a razor of some sort. and then i wake up... yea i know it seems short but during the dream it seems like it takes about 2 days. hopefully someone will have an answer for why i keep having this

When I was little I used to have dreams about being in a dark cave & hearing lions in the cave around me. The dreams started out that I was riding in Grandpa's car, then fell out into the black cave. The dream was a terrible nightmare & after the 2nd time when it got to the part of falling out of the car, I knew the cave & lions were next. The dreams happened a few times, until I heard my Grandpa say to stand up & touch the lions because they wouldn't hurt me. The dream happened a few more times, but the fear was gone because I knew what to do.

I've always thought this dream was about conquering fear of dealing with unknown situations in my life. Why I started having the dream between ages 3 and 5, I don't know.

Or dealing with known situations in your life (since you came to 'know' what was going to happen in your dream).
Maybe your dreams way of telling you to not be afraid to 'deal' with what was right in front of you,, and your grandpa's voice was the sound of 'reason'.

Loveis, that sounds like a pretty good explanation. I think it probably makes more sense than the way I was looking at it.

Yeah, that's how it sounded to me..
each time you'd dream, the next time the dream revealed a little more until you knew how to deal with it/that which was already in front of you.

Well, being chased is a common dream with most people. the person chasing you typically (metaphorically) represents a problem in your daily life. You are not openly confronting the situation, or you feel targeted or pressure from someone you know. I would say in your case, you might subconsciously feel threatened about someones feelings toward your relationship. Like they're trying to sabotage it or something.

This might help you: link [www.dreammoods.com]

Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis is definitely the longest word in the dictionary.
