We're not old enough to vote, but we think that votes for write-in candidates are counted for every office, except president. The Wikipedia says that some states require write-in candidates for president to be registered. That may mean that a vote for an unregistered write-in presidential candidate will cause the ballot to be set aside and not counted. Either way, if protest is the point, then why not call the registrar be sure of the rules. Get registered if necessary, and pa** out bumper stickers. Big Dog for Top Dog 2008

I know many people who will do a write in vote as a protest in the upcoing election, myself included.
