Okay now that that's outta the way I have to admit something too...I'm no longer a die hard supporter. We've got a long way to go until November and a lot could happen between now and then. He got my vote for the primary, but then I would rather see Flavor Flav be nominated than Hillary Clinton. Overall, I really like the guy, he's charismatic, charming and most importantly hot (j/k) but that's not all that is required for this job. I'm not 100% convinced that he's ready.

So does that mean that if Hillary steals the nomination you might step over into the dark side with all of us republicans?

....Let the force be with you...

I do agree with you here... for the most part.....The way he handled the uproar over Rev Wright showed that he is maybe just not ready to play with big bad mean guys that a President must deal with.....even if we don't want to admit it....There are still a lot of "people" out there that want to hurt the US....

Do either of you think Obama may have agreed with any of what the Rev. had to say? I'm not saying he did...I don't have a clue. I've just always figured where there's smoke, there's fire.

It's about damn time! I think Obama is great, and I support him 100%, but I couldn't help but get annoyed with him being too soft lately, "Well, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt". Quit being so damn nice, and give 'em what they deserve! The biggest one for me though was during the debate when Hilary was called on her fairytale about Bosnia sniper fire, and the moderators asked him what he thought, and he gave her a free freakin pass! "Well, we talk a lot, and it can happen..." Are you kidding me?? She just blatantly made up a story about something that just frankly didn't happen. And he says that's OK?? It was a transparent attempt at coming across as a gentleman or congenial or something, and instead it made him look like he had no backbone.

Anyways, I'm glad he showed he's got some fire in him, it's a relief, it's been bugging me. Obama '08!

I just hope he's not too "hopeful" for his own good, giving people in general more credit than they deserve because he wants to think overall that people are good. The way he's been treated in this election, many people in this country don't deserve the credit he has given them. I hope he doesn't end up sorely disappointed by the end of this election process, but he just may. Reading comments posted in response to blogs and news stories really makes one lose hope in the intelligence and integrity of the people in this country. Many of those people don't deserve the kind of great president that Obama would be.

No, I don't. Barack Obama is Barack Obama and Jeremiah Wright is Jeremiah Wright. They are two completely different people and I personally don't think it's fair or reasonable to hold one individual responsible for the words of another. Obama did the right thing today by "disowning" him. He should have done it from the beginning but he was standing by someone for whom he felt affection and loyalty, an admirable but not politically wise trait.

When you have a moment, listen to Obama's speech today about Rev. Wright.

at the last election only 60% of the electorate voted. Whats up with that?

Voter turnout in the UK is within a few percentage points.

Vizzy, another reason I don't believe Obama shares Wright's sentiments is that he has run his campaign on the premise of being a "uniter" wanting to take politics in a new direction. To secretly share the opinions of Rev. Wright would serve no purpose and be in complete contradiction to what he claims he wants to achieve.

HICKORY, N.C. - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama denounced his former pastor in his strongest language to date on Tuesday, saying he was outraged by Rev. Jeremiah Wright's assertions about the U.S. government and race.

Of course, Obama was outraged after he made a bad comment about government. lol
