Not that I know of. I think there is one in New Zealand though...if my memory serves me well.

Hello, jmo. Yes, I realize you are correct. I had read about Invercargill, and got mixed up as to where it was located.

Thank you for clarifying it for me.

When I played clarinet in the band, one of the marches we played was named "Invercargill". I didn't know what it was named after. I had done a search for it some months ago, and I recall it was a beautiful place.

Do we have members from the beautiful New Zealand?

Tis a bit early for the Kiwi's methinks.

I stayed with a couple from christchurch, on the same Island. Were really nice, but one of them was a wee bit racist, lol.

jmo, racist? How so?

I just like saying the word Invercargill! It took me this long in life to know the origin of the word, though.

It's just after 5:00 pm here. Time to enjoy the afternoon!

She didn't like Asians, hehe.

Was nice enough apart from her completely random hatred of Asian people. The other Kiwi was great not racist at all.

Ah, I like the nickname for the New Zealanders! The Kiwis! It seems like such a faraway place from here!

Hello, tezagurl! It's great to hear from you! What a wonderful place to live! I had looked up Invercargill on the internet, and it has a wonderful history.

Here in North Texas, USA, we appreciate the beauty of our nature in our wildlife and flat landscape, but it's nothing compared to the beauty you must be experiencing.

When you and your family take vacations, where do you go? For instance, we can travel to any of the other 49 United States. We have also traveled to Mexico, which is just South of us, and we have taken a vacation to Jamaica, 3 hours by jet. To go to New Zealand would be probably half a day or closer to a day travel for us.

We are building a European style home, which prompted me to research Invercargill. I had played the music, the march named Invercargill in the band. I wanted to research the style of European design for the interior of the house and furniture.

Do you have a photograph of the outside of your home? I am just curious about what homes look like in New Zealand. I would like to see what the architecture of traditional New Zealand is like.

Anyway, you are so nice to respond. Thank you very much. It's so interesting to be able to correspond with you in another land, and i know in another time zone! I am just getting my Saturday started here in Texas, USA!
