I agree with both parties, i mean art is all about espressing yourself and the more you can make people talk the better, it must of worked this time because look at all the people talking about what she did!

But on the other hand i dont agree with her terminating lives. Women have struggled, or women who have gone through abortions and miscarriages. Shes taking something as precious as life and turning it into a project. It makes me feel sick to think that she is producing life and then destroying it for shock value....

Either it's not there or I missed it, but depending on the time frames involved I highly doubt she was pregnant OR miscarrying. AI doesn't work every time under the best of circumstances so I have to wonder what the success rate is for the DIY version.

I agree that using bodly functions as art is kinda funky and I don't really agree with it.

The only problem I have is the assumed link between what this one single womans body and women everywheres' ablity to stay pregnat.

I'm not making that connection, and I don't feel its a connection that should be made.

I guess we are a stagnant culture if we can consider her an artist. Maybe Elizabeth Bathory was an artist too. She just waited until they were older to kill them and bathe in their blood.

i had no doubt in my mind that this would happen.

Its using shock factor for publicity. She is an art student who wants coverage and the only way you can become a household name is by doing something terribly shocking or stupid.

So they come up with a concept - fair enough. They also make sure the media is aware of this whacky concept because basically anything with shock/weirdo factor will get coverage. Lets face it if she was just painting embryos and abortions its been done over and over and its not new. But she is whoring out her concept to become a household name.

There is a guy who rolled from one side of london to the other, someone who stuck an armchair on a billboard and sat there for 30 days or something - all these things get coverage and do the art world no favours.

As far as the girl goes, if she wants to inseminate herself and give herself chemical abortions thats her call, she isnt breaking the law i just suspect that in later life she may regret it if it doesnt bring her the fortune and fame she is seeking.

Speaking as someone who has had more than one miscarriage what this woman has done is just plan disgusting.
Now I do not in ANY WAY have a problem with abortion at all - if you fall pregnant and just can't have the baby, then have an abortion, and I will not judge. But to intentionally fall pregnant, just to make yourself miscarry is absolutely horrible. Do you knwo how mnay women would kill to be able to sustain a pregnancy for the whole 40 weeks? This woman is sick and disgusting and a coward.
