When I was treated (I have seen 2 separate chiros and each was for a separate event) I followed advice and orders to the letter - including trying valerian root as a muscle relaxer, which was recommended for me.

I'm not saying the practice of chiropractics is bull, what I'm saying is it's bull in my case (or more specifically, not helpful). I'm also not saying there are people who have not been helped through this practice.

Well laaaaa-dee-FREAKIN-daaaa.

Well I am glad to see that you tried multiple times. With that I am saddened that
you did not respond at all in either circumstance. I also appreciate that you
followed recommendations, as the failure to do so is the #1 reason why we don't
see as good of results as we would like. I sincerely hope that you continue your
search for what is causing your headaches and that you can get it fixed.

A friend of mine, that used to get migraines all the time, was given a mild, non-addictive anti-depressant and it worked great.

I'm on something similar and having had a migraine in forever

I tend to get migraines. Sometimes I'll go months without one and then get them for a week in a row.
I have tried many meds for them. Midrin worked for a while, Imitrex never touched them, these days Maxalt still works but it takes the highest dose and that usually knocks me out for a while. They say that it's so strong that you shouldn't take it more than 4 times a month or you can give yourself a heart attack or stroke. Yippee. I have multiple triggers since they are generally hereditary and I have aunts on both sides of my family that suffer with them. Sometimes it's sinus migraines and are triggered by scents. Sometimes tension and/or weather changes (when the barometer drops before a storm)codeine can trigger them, aspartame is one of the worst food additives for migraine sufferers.
I feel for you OP.
