Click the little icon in the bottom right of your post, its next to the speech bubble, like a sheet of paper and an orange pen on it.

If you like fantasy series you should read Thomas Covenant Series by Stephen Donaldson. Its my favourite.

Do you know what your fate is?
And are you trying to shake it?
You're doing your best
and your best look
You're praying that you make it

The DragonLance books.

The Dragonlance Chronicles and the series that followed grew out of the Dungeons & Dragons role play game, taking the story and characters from one of their most epic games Weis and Hickman created a whole world of fantastic creatures, wonderous adventures and unendng excitement. The adventures are gripping with excellent settings and fabulous background characters, you feel like you are along on the adventure.

The heroes include a troubled half elf, a sickly magician and his warrior twin, a grumpy dwarf, an uptight knight and a comical if light fingered kender(a race only found in Dragonlane, small child like creatures with pointy ears, long hair gathered in top knots and an amazing ability to get into trouble) along the way the encounter others including goblins, gnomes, draconians, gully dwarves, dark dragon riding knights, a confused wizard, majestic elves and of course dragons.

The first 3 books are the Chronicles series(in my eyes the best as they were the first) "Dragons of autumn twilight" starts the story setting the scene as the hero's leave on an almost impossible quest to save the world from the dark queen Takhisis.

My hubby does not read books...however somehow he read the first one and ended up reading the series...literally one after the other. They are excellent and less confusing or long winded as Lord of the rings.

A long time ago I read a few books in a series, but there were a lot more, and they were really long, and my life became to busy to keep up. I can only remember one title- "the wizards first rule". Did anyone else read any of those books? I really loved them, I read about 3 of them.
