From what I have learned, the best regimen is always to begin with strengthening the immune system. Echinacea, Vitamin C and Zinc, Olive Leaf Extract, Una de gato, Garlic, to name a few. Pau d'arco has antibiotic properties as well. Avoiding stress is important because as you know, it damages the immune system. As far as specifically for impetigo, the Mayo clinic site recommnends a topical antibiotic (Batroban) depending on how severe the infection. If it is a minor infection, a hygienic measure may be all that is needed, allowing the infection to heal on its own.
