Finally!!! I found a good forum on dreaming.

I wonder how common the following is.

1. I never dream about anyone I know presently. It is always someone from the distant past.

2. I have never dreamed about a place that looks real. For instance if I dream about a place I once worked it never even resembles the real place. The scene seems to be made up of bits and pieces of other places.

3. For most of my life my dreams have been frustration dreams. I am trying to go from point A to point B and I can never get there. In fact the longer I try the further away I get. Lately I don't have those but I invariably find myself not knowing where I am going and not knowing where I am.

4. I almost never dream about sex. When I did it is never about intercourse itself.

5. No motor vehicle works properly but I can play the guitar, which I can't in real life.

I am older than dirt (71). Over the years my dreams have changed a lot. Thankfully my "back in school" nightmares stopped about 7 years ago. Isn't that a girl dog? A guy my age still having those in his sixties?

If there are any other old codgers out there let us know how your dreams have changed over the years.

Went from sex dreams, to general living dreams, to what happened to my sex
dreams, and then to money drams and finally to: I can't remember my dreams
very well.

I have always wondered if the majority of people have realistic dreams that have continuity. I never have.

I don't thing dreams predict anything and I also subscribe to the theory that the brain "pops" random images and tries to make sense of them.
