Build or buy a compositor and throw all your household food peelings, left-
overs into it except for meat and fat. Then use that in your garden. Save landfill
and you get wonderful soil to use in the garden.

Yeah, composters are great...I have one, but it's smelly!!

I use baking soda and peroxide to help keep fungus at bay. I get gray mold here really bad. But the peroxide also helps fertilize the plants and gives you really great product.

I have a problem with aphids here. I haven't been able to control them by any other means than controlling the ants...even then I have a bastard of a time keeping them at bay. I use merigolds and garlic or onions to help keep pests away too.

grow herbs, they're relitively low maintenance, and can make all the difference to a meal. MMMMM fresh garden produce is allways so yummy. I admire your dedication! Wish i could find the time/motivation for it myself!

A wonderful organic/green living resource site is Mother Earth News. They have tons of tips and information for just about anything you would like to try and maybe a few ideas you didn't think of either!
