when our son was born, the bone in his nose hadnt gone away so he had to spend some time at the children's hospital... we stayed at the ronald mcdonald house (amazing place by the way)... we got to know this other couple while we were there... they made us feel so much better about our situation just by being a comparison...

they had come all the way from washington... been staying at the ronald mcdonald house for almost a year... their daughter was actually born with all of her organs on the outside... can you just imagine what it would be like to see your baby go through that?... she was healing when we got there... they were able to take her back to their room with them... she was in a full body cast, though... they had left their lives completely behind for it... it had to suck...

i cant even believe that their baby survived... totally wouldnt think that would be possible... just goes to show how amazing modern medicine is...

kinda puts stuff in perspective huh when we see people go through such suffering. Just a gentle reminder from the universe that all life is precious no matter what our situation. Makes you feel a bit of a twit when ya complain about the small stuff ey!?

Im so glad the baby survived all of that. Modern medicine is truely amazing.
