We are renovating our house, most of the major work is done, now it's just the trimmings and paint and basic details. Now we have a living room that adjoins the Dining Room area and separated only by 21/2 foot walls on each side and 1" wall at the top with posts in the middle. Now here's the question I need opinions on, we've painted the walls in the Living Room a light Grey and our accents like drapes and such are in Burgundy, now we haven't painted the Dining Room yet but pretty much have to stay within the color scheme or it'll throw it all off, what color schemes would you go for in the Dining Area if this was your call. All suggestions will be taken under consideration, suggestions on some color matches would be greatly appreciated,it would help a lot. Thanks

heh.

We're gonna do blue & brown in the dining room.

Orange or copper in the kitchen & bathroom.

And green and brown in the living room.

I'm not sure what the plans are for the rest of the house yet.

I only have the office done with wood trim and carpet,Living Room and Bathroom done so far, now it's the Dining Room which is a pain because it kind of runs off the Living Room so it can't really be totally different sort of has to blend in with it, the Master Bedroom and the Kitchen I haven't a clue, but I want different, I've always pretty much been an eclectic type know what I mean I love to put things together of different eras and the new and antique, know what I mean?

We're kinda using the brown in transition areas, since it goes with all of the other colors we're using. I dunno how it would go with your gray or if blue would go better.

I really think the Blue and Brown pic you put up would go with the Living Room, because the Grey is on the blueish side anyway so Yes I think you just gave me the color scheme for the Dining Area, thanks and btw those are all awesome color blends I think it's time people got away from the same old same old don't you, it looks much nicer with vivid colors and colors that will attract the eye and make a statement don't you think?

I agree I think the Brown and the Blue would compliment the color scheme you are working with!

If you're going with a Burgundy red-type thing, a Roman Clay wall finish in your preferred shade of red would possibly fit.Doing it yourself takes some time but if done well it's really luxurious.

With the burgandy too. hmm, well idd take the grey from sitting room and pair it with something neutral like a brown/beige/cream to keep it fresh and allow you to dress it up/down for different occasions.
