Hey guys, I just recently started playing Counter-Strike and instantly became hooked. Are there any fellow players here among us in the forums? It would be really cool to play with some people locally. Who knows, maybe even start a Trojan Clan or something.

I dont play a whole lot anymore but,

For local competition a lot of us play on the following servers:

Rocks Hideout 8 (all FY maps)
4hm Warcraft and Regular Play (hosted by Rocks Hideout)

and I hear there are some that play on Tator.net, but they have banned me because they think I hack /shrug

govt_cheese and I both play counter strike.

I play it a little more often that he does, but that doesn't mean I play it often. If I had someone to play with, ie., a local clan, friends, blah, then i would definitely pick it back up again.


but then again i'm the worlds worst procrastinator and never do my homework until it's too late. i will never have time for CS

Yeah, I'm all for doing it, but I'm too noob to have a clue how.

Ok, I'm having some major problems. I just got steam, and now I can hardly ever join a game! No matter where I go, the security download module completes then I get "Error! Server validation failed."

Grrrrrrr! I can't play anymore!

Make sure all your CS stuff is updated... I think steam has an auto update though... also if you are using someone elses copy of CS and they are online it'll give your problems... Some servers also require an extra program that runs and prevents cheating.... You may need one of those for the specific server your getting on... Hope that helps some...

we had the same error message for a while so we removed cs completly and reinstalled and works better than ever now!!
