I went to the river cottage in axminister a few weeks back its tiny!! and axminsister is a tiny place.

I grow carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, peas, broad beans, herbs (all sorts).. loads of stuff.. It was the first thing i did when i moved into a house with a garden.

Nothing has turned out as we expected. It never does. Life's under no obligation to give us what we expect. We take what we get and are thankful it's no worse than it is.

A chicken was Ł23.50 and a free range duck was best part of Ł35. but i must have tasted the best pork pie in the world there..

It quite funny how gardening and living of the land is quite accepted now in the younger generation, you normally imagine old people doing it....its quite soothing and i wish i'd started years ago now.

If it's white, sticky and not yours dont touch it.

I wish i owned my house, i would turn it into a Jamies garden..
