I think it's racist that jesus got played by a white guy with blue eyes in old films. Or that john wayne played Genghis Kahn.

Actually i feel sad that John Wayne played anyone, what a s**te actor.

Those who don't believe in evolution haven't benefited from it.

Can that Genghis film be considered racist if it's impossible to watch without cringing in embarressment. It's even worse than that one were Peter Ustinov plays a Chinese Manderin.

yeah back then though ya didnt really have a high turnover of far eastern actors so you'd just have to do with what actors ya had

It being a steroetype is NOT an excause for racism. Steroetypes are BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As someone who has studied race and ethnicity and feminism in film i can say that there clearly IS racist and feminist issues within disney films, whether intended or not.
There is a clear americanisation of heros, no accent for heros, villains have strong accents. The objectification of young females in these films is appauling,remember these princess's are supposed to be 15!!!!!!!!!
The fact that a stereotype for evil is being ugly is bad enough. Not all evil people are ugly, and most definetly not all ugly people are evil.
Just because these films are intended for children doeas not mean there can not be direct influences from the director's personality and beliefs. Remember Walt Disney did not direct ANY of the films himself.

I must agree, Clint totally out does John. As for racism in cartoons, they are cartoons they are not racist, they are what they are. Maybe the reason there are no AA princess stories is they just have not found a good story for one yet.
