Has anyone on this site ever researched their family tree? If so what did you find out that was worth mentioning here about your background, history?
Lately ive been thinking i should do this as maybe it could explain the way ive been feeling, very anti establishment and my aggressive streak that runs through me!
I am curious about how much if anything is transfered from parent to child!
Example! I am adopted, and the only thing i know is that my father played college football, and a few other insignificant details. I wonder if this would explain that when i watch football, another side of me quickly emerges, esp, when a linebacker sacks a quaterback, i get so fired up i actually leave my seat and jump toward the tv screen as though i were in pursuit myself...even yelling aloud! oh well that aside, any family tree ers?

I've doen a lot of research on my family tree. Some good websites include rootschat.com, genesreunited.com, ancestry.com and rootsweb.com

Yes, mine goes back generations of 'witches'.

Seriously, this is a good point you make, and one definitely worth investigating, as "much" of who you are indeed has to do with heridity.

Heredity does play a major factor in who we are..
depression for example, is inherited.
Many of our talents too, we inherit from our ancestors.
Like what you describe above about your dad's being a football player, and your own strong reactions to the sport also.
I think it would be both fun, and interesting to look into your family tree. Certainly a learning experience, and one you sound to be overdue for. - Good luck.
