What are people's experience with naturopathic doctors? several of my daughters have been treated by them and are achieving very good results.

I am going to see one soon. I have been taking very good care of myself, but I want to learn more, and I believe one could help me.

What are your thoughts??

Does a chiropractor count?

na·tur·op·a·thy ney-chuh-rop-uh-thee,
–noun
a system or method of treating disease that employs no surgery or synthetic drugs but uses special diets, herbs, vitamins, massage, etc., to assist the natural healing processes.

From this definition, I would think chiropractic would qualify.

There are so many ways to treat ailments that have been used for centuries, that our system has left behind as "old wive's tales" or superstition. Many of these have recently been studied by science and proven to be truly effective. And, there aren't the side effects that we get from some of the drugs being prescribed.

I go to a chiropractor a few times a year and one time I was complaining about indigestion and he gave me a bottle of enzymes. I cannot remember the label but they were supposedly natural and they worked. I never had indigestion again no matter what I ate.

I've had nothing but trouble with regular medical doctors including getting stuck with a huge bill that did nothing to help me..
I will try anything.

I am not overwhelmed with General Practitioners out there - I was going several times a month complaining that i was sleeping too much - one weekend I slept nearly 24 hours straight!!! I was just always tired, always eating and all I was told by a GP was : "drink more water, get some exercise" to which I asked him "how am I meant to get some exercise if I am so tired that by the time I get home from work I was already falling aleep on the busride home???"

I then went to a Chinese Medicine doctor, and she said that I had a "textbook case" of a clogged up liver - she did some accupuncture and gave me chinese medicine tablets and I started feeling better! After that, I went camping with friends and did an 8km hike up a mountain and was exhausted but felt good!

I have had 2 sessions so far and find that getting up is still hard, but I don't get as tired throughout the day, without the usual 3 o'clock slump. I will definately continue seeing her!!!

i love my N.D. she is awesome! i have had nothing but wonderful results from seeing one. i am a massage therapist and i refer all of my clients to her or her practice.

instead of an alopathic or conventional doctor pumping you full of nasty chemicals the ND will give you what your body needs to aid in its own natural process for restoring ease within the body so that you dont form any type of dis-ease or lack of ease.

i think you will be really happy with the results.
