i did it with mine, not realy from ground up, but almost.
it is a dangerous task, not recommanded!! but fun.
rover laptops are the top for laptop customisation, it is a russian
brand...i will post a pic of one of my laptops tomorrow

Tiger direct.com is where you can buy everything you need to build your own computer try that web site. I really think you will find it very fun.

It is possible but you'll probably need special tools. the hard part will be finding the screen and mounting it in the frame. I had a tutorial somewhere in my bookshelf on how to do it so the info is out there. It's just a matter of how much, how long, and how much you know.

Do NOT build a laptop. You can do it with a desktop. You can buy a good laptop and then change the components want, like the CPU and RAM, etc...

Agreed I am a A+ Certified Technician, you can build a desktop no problem, but building a laptop from ground up wont happen...
