I live in AZ!!!! It's a great place but be warned, wherever you are has got to be cooler than here. It's made it to 116 today. Not fun. However, the sightseeing is beautiful and it gets down to quite a nice average temperature in the fall through spring seasons.

Oh, there's also monsoons coming. I'd say just be careful of when you decide to move, maybe in September or so? then you won't be moving in too much heat. But I'm not sure when the monsoon season starts, watch out for that!
