Has anyone else read this>? I was in floods of tears most of the way through but wow, what an inspiring ending!

I've never heard of it. What's it about?

It's the true story of Cupcake Brown. She was an 11 year old girl when she found her mother dead. She was taken into foster care where she abused mentally, physically and sexually. To survive, she ran away and turned to prostitution and got introduced to drugs and alcohol. She became addicted to both then became a gangbanger...she finally turned her life around (afer years of addiction) after a 4 day crack binge meant she woke up behind a dumpster not knowing where she was. She got clean and sober, went back to school and now works as an attorney and a motivational speaker.

Her story was heartwrenching at times (even through her gangbanging years when sometimes it was hard to feel sympathy) but uplifting at the end. I congratulate her for having the balls to tell it like it was and not paint a better picture of her behaviour during her gangbanging years

ive never heard about it but ill be on the look out for it ifit makes you cry.
