I'm looking to buy a new car. I am, and always have been, partial to 2 door cars. I can't even wrap my head around getting a 4 door sedan. I just don't think it fits my personality. However, In my search for my new automobile, I've received a bit of flack for wanting another 2dr coupe. One person told me it was time for me to grow up and get a 4 door. Another one asked if I was sure I didn't want to "graduate" to a 4 door.

So now I'm wondering if I am wrong in wanting a 2 door. I'm single. No kids. If I drive other people somewhere it's not that far and I rarely drive, mostly because my car is always so dirty.

So what's your opinion, is there a certain age when people need to "grow up" and get a 4 door car?

and don't even get me started on SUV's, cuz I'm not buying one of those. Just be more room to store all my junk.

Nope, there is no age where you should get a 4 door car. That's an opinion of stupid people who think everyone should be like them.

Get a car that you like, that suits your needs, and that won't totally rape you on gassing up come the next fuel price increase.

Sounds to me like that is a 2 door coupe.

I personally much prefer 4 doors, but I have a lanky boyfriend, a step daughter and one on the way so that makes sense really!

my bf's 29 and he has a 2 door sports car that goes real fast. Wait till you have kids then get a grown up car

I prefer 4 door cars, but that's mostly because I like to be able to just open the back door and put in anything I need to, rather than moving seats and all of that. But IMO, there's nothing at all wrong with having a 2 door car!

I just want a small hatchback sooo bad is that weird? Like a kia rio or a yaris, that is my dream car.
