22/M/Goodlettsville, Tennessee Join Date: Mar 2005 | First, I have to say that it's so great that everyone here was so worried about me . . . you sure know how to make a guy feel loved.
Wait . . . you guys don't know, do you? Damn.
Friday, a tornado (maybe more than one; I'm not sure) came through my town. It thrashed a lot of places and things. Among those things, it destroyed my school. Yep, Volunteer State Community College has been hit hard. Two of the buildings are badly damaged, though I'm not sure of the extent of the damages. I know classes are cancelled for this week, if not longer.
I wasn't worried about the storm, but I was worried about my friends. It turned out that all of them were okay though. None of my friends from the Anime Society were at the school when the tornado hit, and my friends at MTSU were fine. MTSU didn't seem to get hit at all.
Surprisingly enough, my house did not lose power for a long time. In face, we only lost it once, for about two seconds. Seriously, it went off and then came right back on. However, we did lose cable; that means that we lost the internet, as we get cable internet from the same company that gives us cable TV. So, I haven't been able to contact people until today.
That's about it . . . my school is thrashed, I won't have classes for a week (at least), but my friends are okay. I'd say this is a positive result, for sure. I just feel sorry for anybody who was hurt, as well as their loved ones. I am glad that nobody I know was hurt (that I know of ). | | |
