What I do not understand is the difference between a death panel and a death pool.

Well, I took a little liberty in renaming the High-Risk pool to Death Pool.

Death Panels - where a panel of doctors decide to pull the plug on Grandma -
exist only in the heads of those listening to Sarah Palin, where as the High-Risk Pools are options under the GOP house plan.

Two side-by-side comparisons of Obamacare and the GOP's plans:

6 months and counting. And still not a single congressional bill signed.

The GOP has complete control and they are still finding ways towards obstructionism.

Just when you thought Washington couldn't get any more comedic.

Repeal and Replace appears dead.
Now it's either Repeal and wait, or Let it Die.

I wonder how many realize/remember it is the GOP that have been sabotaging Obamacare by defunding portions of it, threatening to cut all of the insurance company kick-backs, causing panic and market pull-outs. Also while threatening to pull back medicaid expanions... who do you think that is going to hit - Yes the consumer to begin with, but when they can't pay - then who? The providers!
I've always said Obamacare was a gift to the Insurance companies.

... So what if Medicaid/Medicare (?) were available to everyone? As competition to the other options?

Oh yeah ... here's a Link

If Transgender people are such a burden on the US military (nearly $600b budget), imagine the strain on the insurance industry!

Good thing our society isn't ruled by the almighty dollar!

I think we should let history repeat itself....

1st - We outlaw transgender people in the military...we could prosecute them under the UCMJ, kick them out of the military, ruin their lives...

2nd - We decide to don't ask, don't tell... we could still prosecute a few, kick a few out of the military, and still ruin a few lives...

Finally, after years of being stupid, we decide to allow them in the military openly.

My guess is that it would take about 4 years to cycle through.

It would be much more fun if "we" could extend it...say 8 or even 16 years...that way "we" could waste a lot of time and taxpayer money...and probably blame it all on a Democrat president.

Dear Members of the House,

Please do not pass the Skinny Repeal Obamacare bill we are about to hand you, because it really sucks but we are too pussy to vote it down.

Thank you
The Senate

One of the points of "Obamacare Failing" is that insurance companies are pulling out of the markets.

They are pulling out because they cannot be sure if they will be getting subsidized for losses.

https://www.cnn.com/2017/07/30/politics/kellyanne-conway-tom-price-obamacare/index.html

Not necessarily disagreeing with Trump calling them "bailouts"
Trump tweeted a warning on Saturday that if Congress didn't pass a bill to overhaul the Affordable Care Act soon, he would end the "bailouts" for insurance companies as well as members of Congress. The tweet came just a day after the Senate failed to pass a "skinny repeal" of Obamacare in a dramatic vote early Friday morning.

But it was part of the deal....
