i grow up with paul harvey on radio, from 1969 to 1978. i was at boy camp during these years in bemidji, minnesota. in bemidji, they had only three or four radio channels that air on around a couple of hundred miles in any directions in minnesota, you can listen to paul.
on saturday nights, our counselors ( one of us, had a radio with a broadband signal. after 10:00 to midnight, if kept the volume down in the cabin, my cabinmates and i listen to radio stations from united states through europe and other countries. for a camper, it was pretty cool back then.
from monday thru friday at 5:00 to 5:30 pm, paul had his show on. paul had an unique way of tell you a story every way, you feel good about it afterward. there are days in minnesota, when i was a camper or a staff, one of paul's story made my day.
this video could sway people, if paul was playing the devil, to make him a god to his audience to his bidding.
you see from the video, that paul make a statement, that make fun of what his preaching. back in 50's thru 80's, ( i forgot when paul retired from radio. ) he had 30 years or over, he was on radio.
paul conviced people that listen that he was the devil, or a con artist. he really that good. on radio, paul come off as a gentle man down to earth kind guy. he can tell you, most somewhat simple country story. paul bring back, a lot of good memories that i had when i was a teenager up at camp in minnesota.
