Twilitezone, I need your help. You're the only person I know that could possibly know about a movie that I've had in my mind for over a week. YouTube has a lot of the old 'Twilight Zone', 'Outer Limits' and 'One Step Beyond' shows and now that I have unlimited wifi I've been watching them. Well anyway, there was a show, actually it may have been a full length movie that I watched probably in the mid 60's. it was about a king that no one ever saw because of how he looked. At the end of the show we get to see him hopping up stairs, he's a giant frog. He hops up the stairs in order to commit suicide by jumping off the building.
So, my question do you have any idea what's the name off the show? It's driving me crazy!

right off the bat, i have no idea what this is? i don't recognizes it at all.

there is an episode of " lost of space " about penny befriend an alien looks like a frog that battle a golden man.

i don't that the one, you talking about.

i think the one, you talking about. i pretty surer it is not.

it is outer limits , " it is called " the man who was never born ".

a man from the future , who is dying from a disease that create by a man in the future. andro was this man who astronaut that stricken that uncure biological virus that destory human race.

andro know it was too late anything to save his world. because andro decided to go back in time to killed the man created this deadly virus. andro if can prevent the man being ever born, he would save his world.

andro stole a spaceship that took back in tine before the man was born. andro had ability to minic any form , he can think of. andro with mass
hypnosis's ability cover his alien form from over a mile that anyone, who see him will a man not an alien.

andro the mother of a man who is going to kill. instead of kill her prevent the birth of this man , andro falls in love with her.

the day of the marriage, after the wedding, andro tell the mother he have to leave her , because he can no longer able control hide human form. the mother try to conviced him to stay. andro know he was kill by the town folks, because he was an alien.

andro run back to his spaceship, the mother follow him. she would leave him, now, andro and his wife going back to andro's time.

the last minutes of the episode, andro tell his wife, why he went back in time, she understood still still love him.

that moment, andro just died from the virus from the son, she never had. this few seconds of the scene, she she hold him, now she stranding on a spaceship that no how to operate and it is hurdling into space forever.

i know that the one, you talking about. this episode about the alien is not a frog. i will see if can find this movie or tv show might be. it might been from walt disney, there movies for kids and adults don't have animals killing them off roofs.

i have no idea, what this is. it doesn't even remind of anything. if you give me more clues or details.

was a cartoon, that would help me figure it out.

in the 60's, tv really never made tv movies, except for disney. tv pilots for tv in 60's were popular.

even the movies in theaters, with my sisters, i was under ten years old, i was limited in the movies, i could see. i have seen most of all movies in 60's since then, this one really stump me!

last summer until now, i keep a track of movies that i have seen at my local libraries. i been thinking about putting my reviews on ' my twilite 's movie system ' on my topic list. i was too lazy to so. i start this topic to have anyone to look at my reviews. but also, i am let any member is allows to put her or her reviews on to my topic. i would like you to use the ' the star review system ' that i create below.

twilite's star's system:

1 star - why was this movie made?
1 1/2 stars - really why this movie made?
2 stars - you still put this movie in a theater.
2 1/2 stars - a bad movie
3 stars - a good movie
3 1/2 stars - a very movie
4 stars - an excellent movie
4 1/2 stars - a masterpiece

By your scale of assessment, films I personally would place in the various categories include (list is not exhaustive)

1 star: The entire Spider Man franchise
The Sweetest Thing
Meet The Spartans
Catwoman

1.5: Van Helsing
Matrix Revolutions
Grease 2
White Chicks

2: Scary Movie
Speed 2
Apollo 18

2.5: The Love Guru
Centre Stage (sooooo disappointed. I had such high hopes)
What A Girl Wants

That deals with the crap. Although I can think of other films that have disappointed me, I don't waste too much time thinking of those

3: Argo
AI: Artificial Intelligence
Hanna
The Descendants
Ex Machina
Fingersmith
Catch Me If You Can
Jumanji
The Killing Fields
Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.

3.5: Albert Nobbs
Black Swan
The Lovely Bones
The Commitments
Drop Dead Fred
Pleasantville
Invictus
Last of the Mohicans
The Life of David Gale
The Nun's Story
In The Heart of the Sea

4: Alfie (Michael Caine)
Avatar
A Beautiful Mind
The Fearless Vampire Killers
Cabaret
Fargo
Finding Neverland
G I Jane (Demi Moore in that gym scene... dyke heaven. ohhhhh!!)
The Illusionist
JFK
Leon
Bugsy Malone
Rush

4.5: Atonement
American Graffiti
Better Than Chocolate
Bicentennial Man
Rebecca (Olivier)
Grand Budapest Hotel
The Entire Harry Potter Franchise
Life of Brian
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
The Remains of The Day
Song of Bernadette

5: Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe
Blue Is The Warmest Colour
Breakfast at Tiffanys
Chinatown
The Godfather (1 and 2)
Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit *

OK.... Some of these films are marked according to how much I liked them, and what they mean to me. It's all a matter of opinion in the end, isn't it..?

*Not strictly a cinema release movie, but it was treated as a film here in UK after being initially serialised on TV in the 1980s.

And without being too ostentatious about it, it had a heck of a cast, too.

Ralph Feinnes, F Murray Abraham, Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Harvey Keitel, Jude Law, Saoirse Ronan, Edward Norton, Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, Lea Seydoux.....

But the star was Tony Revolori as Zero, the Lobby Boy.

4 Academy Awards(from 9 nominations) tell their own tale, but it was certainly one of the most entertaining films I've seen in recent years.

i agreed with most of them on your list - that are the best , some of them are not. god k now why they were made.

1 star: The entire Spider Man franchise - i agree with last two update spider man , the first one was ok, jamie foxx was horrible in the second spider-man .

but the spider-man with toby was excellent, it was perfect, because it took spidey from 60'sto the late 70's, as written exactly like comic books in 60's and 70's.

spider man 2 was perfect with toby - a solid good storyline with doc ock.

The Sweetest Thing
Meet The Spartans - why did these movies made, talking about stinkeros.
Catwoman

avatar - probably of your group that i saw, few others that have never seen.

avatar - i saw it twice i thought i was disappointed by it. the special effects like in the movie, but that about it. it was better than " the dark knight ".

i appreciate now, the star wars movies because the last two recent movies than first six. all togther.

the lords of the rings and the hobbit movies are the best epics that represent good vs evil in all good epic battles of any kind of movies.

jennifer - you and i have almost the same taste in movies, i probably more critical the style what i except in movies, than you do. i expect more from movies these days, i seen a lot of crap come out of the movie productions in the last fifteen years.

i personally watch more independent movies in the last twenty years are so much better than american main stream movies that spit out today.

jennifer - in the last two years that major main stream movies that movie productions overkill in tv commericals. probably less 8 major movies actually in the last two years, actually benefits by overtaxing on tv commercials.

jennifer- i personally in the last five years, appreciate more than ever eurpoean independence movies and other countries independence movies than the crap american teen movies, these twentysome or thirtysome mid-crisis garbage , why are they in theater is beyond me.

in the last 10 years, disney animation movies are masterpieces.

in guilty pleasure, i haven't to impressive women comedian movies stars last five or ten years. most of the movies of melissa mccarthy are funny, compare to tina fey or other in her group of upcoming female movie comedians.

melissa has a lot of raw talent that in " gilmore girls " even sandra bullock is better in comedy than drama.

i was surprised by how excellent this movie, it was worth waiting for. even the time, finally, saw it. so enjoyable to appreciate how the brilliant, the movie was.

the movie's style is hard, because of the comedy timing of the piece of the movie's period.

if you have the three stoogies or the marx brothers in this movie came out in 30's, 40's, or 50's, even in 60's, this movie would be more funny than it is.

in this movie's main cast hardly to that much comedy in movies, they were brilliant.

this movie remind of the underrated ( in some people's eyes ) the brilliant neil simon's murder by death. most of the main cast of this movie had done comedy roles beside drama roles.

Thanks for your comments, Twilight. It's good to think we have a similar broad taste.

As for your comment: probably of your group that i saw, few others that have never seen. I would be very surprised if you'd seen some of the movies I've listed as some of mine (eg: Blue is the Warmest Colour) fall very much into the LGBT field of interest. Not your kind of movie, I suspect, my friend.

I agree many of your comments about a lot of the output from mainstream studios. The independent studios make a lot of good films. I also like what we here call "Nordic Noir". I have all three films in the Millenium Trilogy. Trust me, the Swedish original of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is much better than the Daniel Craig re-make.

Another was "Let Me In", which was remade (and relocated to the US) as "Let The Right One In" with Chloe Grace Moretz in the lead role. She made a good fist of her part, but even though it was copied it almost scene for scene, the Swedish original was still far better.

I like Melissa McCarthy too. I like the buddy-cop movie she made with Sandra Bullock (can't think of the title off the top of my head right now). SB does comedy well.

Yes, the Lord of the Rings trilogy was excellent. Peter Jackson did a great job on that. Since yesterday I have been making a little follow-up list to add to my first post and LOTR was on it. You may be interested to see some of the titles on that and of course, I'd be interested to read what you think of them.

Another actress I like very much is Saoirse Ronan. Since I saw her first in Atonement she has gone from strength to strength. OK, The Host was a bit of a duff movie but her last offering, Brooklyn, was very impressive.

It's good to talk movies with you, Twilight.

jennifer - " heat " was the one with melessa mccarthy and sanda bullock. i like more than i thought i would.

i thought i saw " blue is warmest colour " last week at my local library. i just look at the cover of dvd. i did see it because the woman had blue tint hair. i did look at it for a second, it didn't grab my interest at the time, in general.

jennifer, since you recommend it, i just read the movie's inform, it has 7.8 rate. that mean is a good quality movie, so i will try it. the subject matter not always the reason why i might not be interest. i like a love story, this like look a movie that will strong cast, and strong storyline, you don't 7.8, just has good taste.that us more important to me than watching a crap movie.

i don't really go to movies or pick dvds with horror movies. these days horror movies are soo stupid, even watching the trailers. last one, i saw " the ring " that horrible one. the main character just had to turn off her dvd machine. most of horror movies, i have seen in the last twenty years, probably under 10 or less than six. none of them impressed me without laughing at them.

jennifer- there had independent movies that i have seen, more mystery/ detective movies are much better and close to a better horror movies than they have out now.

jennifer- it always nice to talking you, too.
