Which specific rights are you referring to?
The first amendment. Free speech doesn't really exist. Americans can be held indefinitely without due process. Protests such as DAPL are met with aggression for wanting to protect their water source. Occupy Walls treat was also treated similarly.
The second amendment is constantly under attack.
"Shall not be infringed" is a f***ing joke. All these requirements for our rights are infringements
3rd seems alright for now.
The fourth amendment. DO I even need to address this? Stop and frisks making a comeback. DUI checkpoints. The use of drones to spy on citizens. The collection and storage of phone calls, emails, internet searches, text messages, etc.
The fifth amendment no longer applies really. Indefinte detentions and lack of due process especially for "terrorists..." I use quotations because technically American citizens can be terrorists for disagreeing w the gov't (see free speech). O and what about imminent domain being used by the private sector.
The sixth amendment is also violated by indefinite detention. The 6th is undermined by the 2 systems of justice we have in place. For instance when Hillary lied to the feds and got in no trouble for it.
7th seems like it's doing ok
The eighth amendment is s*** upon daily. Solitary confinement has been proven to literally drive people insane. Not to mention the torture of "terrorists" (again these can be American citizens).
The ninth amendment is kind of the catch all. I see it as having access to clean water and healthy food. Our food and water are being poisoned (arsenic, lead, fluoride). I think that a level playing field should be included in this swell. However our government picks and chooses winners and losers i.e. bailouts, subsidies etc
The tenth delegates other issues to the states. Trumps trying to f*** that up with the marijuana issue.
