Hair in my tailpipe???

so, my friend was parked at a local restaurant for a nice dinner. after dinner she drove about half a mile when a car of strangers started flagging her down. they told her she had something in her tailpipe!!

now I've heard of potatos in your tailpipe as some kind of creepy prank but this....this was no potato. this was...hair? not a tiny bit of hair. she kept pulling and pulling...it was approximately 10 feet of hair- no exaggeration. course hair, like a horse's tail. she threw it out of her car and drove away.

this was years ago, and to this day we still question it. why??? how does that happen?? a prank? an unknown enemy? why hair? it's so bizzare!! I need answers and since we'll never be able to ask the person who did it...I turn to you guys, members of this forum site, for answers!
