Commentator Gaffes

This is a thread for anybody who hears a sports commentator make a verbal gaffe on air. OK, it doesn't necessarily have to be a sports commentator, it can be anybody but sport seems to produce the most.

Here are some for starters:

"In super slo-mo it looks as if it's not going that fast."

"Spurs were the victims of their own downfall."
(David Pleat, BBC Radio 4)

"He's an unsung hero but everybody knows about him."
(Gary Johnson, BBC TV)

"The Warrington players can hang their heads high."
(Danny Higginbottom, BT Sport)

"That was a leg breaker. It's the sort of tackle you want to see stamped out."
(Steve Claridge, BBC Radio 5 Live)

"Former Chairman Elton John is on the pitch now to formally open the stand they have made out of him."
