Due to downsizing, an unnamed printing company was holding a good-bye luncheon for one of their oldest and dearest co-workers. The food was great and a good time was had by all until the manager cheerfully announced: "This is fun. We should do this more often."
The room was filled with silence, and the party was soon over.
yes, i believe this joke. it hard to believe this topic is this long. the joke is not funny more statement in society. the society put a price tag on people and how long they can work? can society let people work they died on the job?
let them retire can't do their job, or spend more than an hour in the company's bathroom. especially the days that i work there.
the older employees get gold watch to retirement, and throw a party for saying a good bye. sad part, the dinner at night, you don't get paid overtime.
when i working had two retirement dinner parties. they are fun to go, and the two retirees exactly stayed up throughout the dinners. if you work with two geezers, and they stay up after 8 that staying something.
wasn't the boss said that if you are 62 or 65 years old to retirement, that's mandatory. not if get the congress cut down the retirement age in congress would help. really 65 to death!
the truth in society, what do when the older employees has more life in them than younger employees, what choose the boss have to keep his business float? maybe the question does the government has more the right to choose the employer?
