I saw this on my news and found a link for it. I wanted to share it because it seems too much hate with all this Chick- Fil- A business.

Vancouver Canucks, including mascot Fin, took the streets to march in gay pride celebrations in Vancouver. They were there to show support for the event and to help promote NHL campaign of "You Can Play" meant to end homophobia in sports and give young gay hockey players role models and tell them, its okay if you are gay, you can play!

At one minute into video, its the Hockey Night In Canada Theme song.

Funny how the NHL supports gay people and no one in Canada is making threats to boycott hockey. In fact, we are proud of our NHL and all its players for helping make and support the "You Can Play" campaign.

People are boycotting Chick-Fil-A because they're not supporting gay people. Why would they boycott an organization that is?

I should have worded better. What I meant was, initially people wanted a boycott but it seems from what I hear on the news, business has never been better and they have a lot of support and very long line ups of their supporters turning out. So I thought that if so many are turning out to support them in their hate of their fellow man and the boycott did not really go anywhere but opposite happened, because NHL supports gay marriage, they would be boycotted since everyone seems to be so full of rage and hate.

Anyways, regardless of my lack of ability to communicate well, I am proud that NHL is doing this and wanted to share what a well respected and loved company and its players are doing for gay community since another big business seems so full of hate. I wanted to share happy news.

Ooohhhh I see. That is happy news. It's great that they're pro-active about their support too.

Damn this, I misspoke again, one of those days, forgive me, we already have nation wide gay marriage, the NHL was not out to support that but to support "You Can Play" which is program to end homophobia in sports.

I can't explain myself to save my life today.

Yes, they have NHL players do commercials promoting the end of homophobia in sports, usually male dominated sports and that you can play if you are gay and being gay is not going to be an issue.

My brain automatically registers NHL as being from the US so I didn't even notice that...besides, maybe they're supporting it for our sake. Either way, you're not doing a terrible job explaining.

NHL is for all countries but I believe its head office is in NY. We might have national gay marriage but we have a problem in sports, usually in male dominated sports, of homophobia. When I say we, I mean in US and Canada. So that is why they did this program. There have been cases of young level hockey of boys not wanting to play hockey with boys they think are gay and parents making threats to pull their kids from hockey for having gay kid on team and other things make it so no one gay in hockey wants to come out of closet really so this is to encourage anyone gay its okay to be gay and play sports and you will not be treated different and also for anyone not gay to not treat gay athletes different for being gay.

I find my country is very open and not caring about gay marriage but in sports like hockey, its at times homophobic.

And thank you.
