Marijuana

What are your thoughts on marijuana and have you ever tried it? If you have, what did you think about the experience? Does the experience warrant criminalizing the drug in your opinion?

I don't think any drug should be criminalized. If you are 21 or over, you should be mature enough to pick and buy your own poison without govt interference.

It's overrated in my opinion. I've tried it a couple of times at festivals but I can't accept the whole smoking thing so I tend to steer clear of it. It makes food taste better but that's about the only advantage I can find in the experience.

I think the long term effects of it can possibly lead to psychological issues, at least that's what I've noticed (in extreme cases where it's abused and not just used recreationally). I think making it legal could be a good idea as it allows the Government to try and moderate it a bit better, rather than simply forbidding everyone from using it (as that doesn't seem to have worked).

Anything can harm you if you overuse it, weed is just another example. I've seen people react worse to alcohol consumption than from too much weed.

It's kinda tough to control since it can be easily grown. I never tried it and can't stand the smell of someone smoking it.
