Not Sorry

I really honestly hate when people make a date with you. then break it. I had 3 friends lined up to talk to on skype. you know just catching up. how many of the showed up? None of them! when they finally catch you they are like "oh I am so sorry" blah blah blah blah. I don't care if you are sorry in fact. I don't f***ing buy it. I just gets on my nerves really. gosh darnit, I mean I set my whole f***ing day around it. I even had one tell me 5 days ago to call them. when the time comes they are no where to be found.

How come people do that kind of thing? I mean I understand you have other things to do but cant you just put those aside? Just for the moment? to make a date that you set? I do not understand whats going on or why people do that. Can some one please tell me?

Yeah that pisses me off too, it's stopped me from reaching out and actually organising things with my friends as I don't trust them to actually go through with it.

It pisses me off in real life with things that matter, but talking to folk on Skype is a bit different really isn't it?

Sorry, Eowyn - I used to complain about the same thing but fell into flakiness myself.

I know I never managed to get in touch with you on it before I had to removed it again due to conflicting software.

My problem with the net is I'm very much ADHD with it where in I plan one thing and then I get a crash or some software doesn't work that takes me all over the net trying to fix it and during my travels I find other distractions that take me on to different tangents.

I was actually thinking of looking for a good blogging site that comes up in Google searches because a lot of what I learn about computers, software and deals and sites that I find would be of great interest to a lot of people.

I think you might also find that if you chat with the opposite sex and they're engaged they might be weary of having a female voice coming from their PC from time to time.

I spoke with one person not so long ago on Skype and we went on for about four hours with only a short break in between. I can just see the look on my partner's face if I frequently did that and was constantly giving her the "Don't bother me now" hand.

Not really when they set a date with you. Plus I have no phone, husband takes the cell to work

I wouldn't worry about internet dates canceling, I'd worry about real life friends canceling.

They do it because they are selfish and gutless. It would be so much more honorable to just say from go that it's not for them..or they can't do it, or they simply are not interested. But perhaps because they might not have anything better to do that night, they agree to it.

Just don't allow yourself to be used.

Ah But I do not have real friends thats the problem
