The only thing that made it a big deal in stories was that it was a difficult to locate artifact that people wanted to put on display in a museum - This alone gave it a high monetary value and picked up the demand on it enough that people would murder for it as they would do a treasure.

Like most of the stories,It's fact if you choose to believe it,other than that ? myth or fantasy.

I often wonder,if this Jesus came back today,just how would he be received by the churches that profess to worship him and the everyday Fred Nerks on the street.

I suspect intelligent design and therefor tend to believe that any documented history before the coming of medical science is fabricated.

Thus simply if there is a creator and we are 'creations' then we are a product of highly advanced science. It would be absurd to place a handful of highly advanced technology in an environment that artificially limits them from that advanced technology to the point of the suffering and ignorance portrayed in historical texts.

Yeah your right in what you say there,it's all fabricated,although Medical Science in ways has been trial and error and most likely will continue to be that way.

The Creator?? I'm now of the mind to say that the Earth is our creator.
There is nothing that doesn't come from the earth that doesn't eventually find it's way back to the earth,all plant life and animals.Everything that man has taken from the earth and created "will" find it's way back into the earth in one way or another.

We have the so called religions saying things like "The Lord giveth,and the Lord taketh away" well let's try this for size "The Earth Giveth and the Earth taketh away".
