what is your opinion of the australian federal goverments proposal to filter the internet
which by all reports will slow down the speed to dialup connection

Yeah, the connection speed proposal is a joke, but unfortunatley that's not even the worst of it. Have you been keeping up with the content filter proposal? NO OPT OUT OPTION! What the f***?

I cannot honestly believe that our government wants to go the way of China. Look at the level of cyber attacks over there. It beats ours ten fold. Once you give the general public something and take it away, people attach back the only way they know how.

Unfortunately we are and always will be governed by stupidity. Rudd is a better option to Howard, but unfortunately he's not the brightest spark either......

Rudd isn't doing anymore. I guess he saw what we did to the censorship in games guy and got scared.

As for Atkinson, nothing happened to him. We still can't get R rated games.

He is not apart of the board any more. He quit, probably because of all the death threats from angry gamers. It won't come into affect until next year I think though.

This cant happen, as long as we have some form of democracy it wont happen because 90% of Australia doesent want it to happen.

There is no reason to force this filter onto us
