I'm working on a new project that is making me so happy, I'm like this Do you remember a project that made you feel good about yourself (keep it PG13)? What is it, or what was it?
Mine has to do with my artwork and writing, but the rest, I can't tell. It's for children, no worries.

That's a great answer. Anybody going to school or doing something new should answer.

Fixing my toilet I know it sounds daft but since i moved into this house and had my bathroom re-fitted by a total cowboy my toilet has leaked, not flushed properly, fallen to bits over the past 15 years. It has even been completely replaced once.

The problem being people come over and say "Oh i can fix your toilet" so they come back with spanners and whatnot and usually make the whole thing worse.

So last weekend i read up how to re-fit a toilet. Went to my local plumbing suppliers, took advice. The copper pipes were completely useless. So i had to replace the copper pipes and re-plumb the toilet in and also convert it from a push handle flush system to a push button flush system.

SO now for the first time in 15 years i have a non-leaking, fully flushing toilet and its all down to ME!

It wasn't a project,so to speak, but I flew up to Colorado one way and then drove my parent's car back and everything went smoothly.I felt good about how everything went.I even stopped at a Danish bakery and picked up some things for my wife on the way back.

My latest project is building an indoor greenhouse inside of our barn. We want to keep our plants alive throughout the winter, so we're going to move them from our outside greenhouse into the indoor one when it starts to freeze. I'm about 25% done with it but the hard part is out of the way. It's clear sailing from here.

Oh, and yes, I enjoy building things.

I would think it would be therapy for you in a sense.

That's because there are many unforeseen issues that come with helping others. Some will take full advantage of it and just load more and more on you.

Some will ask or you'll offer and they will nit pick at everything you have done out of kindness and their picky ways starts to creep into you and the resentment starts. It's not an offer of kindness anymore it's become a JOB you have to do which means they've taken full advantage of your kindness making you lose your wanting to do it to something you have to do which is oceans apart.

When it gets to that point of resentment with me, I tell them I took this on as a favor and to be helpful but you have turned it into a very nasty JOB and I didn't sign up for that so either you quit what you're doing or I quit. Which will it be?

Oh! They fuss and try to make you feel guilty but the bottom line is it's not a content project anymore so if they're not your boss, let them know how you're feeling about it without anger or hitting and if nothing is resolved, LEAVE!
