true, but cops are different, they're not people...they have no soul. haha
Hmmm, and neither do Judges and Magistrates, mostly with them it's who greases their palms with the most money.
Coppers??Sgt say's,"Son I want you to book 50 drivers today",so the copper goes out and books 50,some for speeding and the rest on a trunped up speed, that the driver can't prove he wasn't doing.

The 'big deal' is......he did not uphold the LAWS of his state!!! The fact that he refused to marry a couple who happen to be white and black....he had NO right to allow his personal belief of interracial marriage get in the way of performing the the job he was elected to do....I looked it up.....and law in his state doesn't say NOTHING about a JOP refusing to do his duty based on his personal beliefs.....he is WRONG....not to mention the FACT that he broke the LAW!!! NO...I personally have NOT done every single thing my boss told me to do....but, I didn't break the LAW!!! This man DID!!
So you're arguing a legal thing rather than a racial thing? That's cool.
Yeah he broke the law, and it was his choice, no one got hurt, so no big deal.

I was hurt...so was the couple he refused to marry.....and he of all people...shouldn't break the law....he was a judge!!! And for me.....i'am bi-racial..(white mother, black father)...so YES, it was about race as far as i'am concerned!!
Yeah, coz Judges NEVER break the law. Would it be such a big deal if a judge was caught speeding? That's breaking the law, is it not? How does this directly affect you? It doesn't.
As far as I can see HE is the one with racial issues, they have been addressed, I'm sure appropriate action will follow. The course of justice will be complete, and the rest of us can go on with our center of the universe lives. Sound like a plan?

I fail to see the big deal with this. If he has a problem, it's his 'gig' to choose to do it or not. If he doesn't want to, so be it.
Can everyone here tell me they have done EVERYTHING their bosses have told them EVER, and justify it because 'it was their job'?
"Gig" We are talking about civil rights that the clown violated. He should be in jail!

Well yeah of course it does. This is getting a bit off topic though. What I was getting at was more along the lines of we all HAVE a choice at work. The consequences might be to lose our job, yes, but there is still the choice.
There are consequenses to our actions everyday. When it is life threatening or severe breakage of the law- that person owes a more severe punishment.

We are arguing a racially motivated breaking of the law. People did get hurt. It IS a big deal. With the history of both our countries it still amazes me to bump into to people like you.
